Project Summary
The Learn to Lead campaign concept was derived from employee feedback data that showed an overwhelming majority of GTRI employees had a desire for some sort of leadership initiative that offered them courses and training to help with their ability to manage others and improve their career advancement opportunities. I was brought into the Communications department to be the lead designer for this campaign. Like any initiative within a larger organization we wanted to create an aesthetic within Georgia Tech’s branding but with a unique look/feel that could unify various brand elements over the multi-year campaign and help it stand out as something new being offered to employees. Coincidently, Georgia Tech was in the early stages of rolling out a complete, organization wide rebrand and this high-profile campaign was seen as a golden opportunity to introduce many of the new branding elements.
I began by establishing a unique logo mark for the campaign as well as a couple of “shapes” that were adopted from the new brand standards. Additionally, as I began creating assets, I started to define how we would use the Georgia Tech color palette and added in some textural elements that could be carried through all of our campaign pieces. So far, I have had the opportunity to create a variety of deliverables from basic promotional materials to a PowerPoint template that can be utilized for a variety of presentation and course needs. As this campaign moves ahead, I look forward to the opportunity to continue to lead the creation of the creative assets and potentially expand into some motion, video, and web work.
